An exceptional site at the gateway to Aubrac

Located on the heights of Marvejols, Lac du Moulinet is a 13-hectare artificial lake inaugurated in 1959. The Crueize river, on which it is situated, offers incredible flora and fauna and magnificent unspoilt scenery. At an altitude of 1075 metres, Lac du Moulinet lies at the foot of the Aubrac mountains and is part of the Parc Naturel Régional de l’Aubrac.

Its dam plays an important role in diverting the waters of the Crueize into those of the Triboulin to supply water to the Catelnau-Lassouts and Granval hydroelectric power stations.
